Ozamiz City has a predominantly young population and has the highest population among the cities and municipalities of Misamis Occidental. The 2000 census placed the number of residents in the city at 110,104 a growth of 1.7 percent between 1995 to 2000. There are about 671 persons per square kilometers in 2000.
