the city's agricultural and aquamarine products. Its well established
sea links to these areas facilitate transport of local produce.
Growing prawn in Panguil Bay is a major
economic activity. Prawn is the city's leading non-traditional export
product and are shipped either fresh or processed to Europe, Japan
and United States. The furniture industry is expected to have brighter
prospects for growth in the coming years.
