The task uplifting the plight of the less fortunate of the city's population is primarily done through the city's Social Welfare Agency. There are also other organizations who are doing similar tasks which include the following:

* The Community of Hope

* The House of Charity

* Home for the Aged

* Saint Joseph Orphanage

There are also thirty (30) Day Care Centers that serve the needs of pre-school children in the barangays.
